Richard Exton has held various high-level technology positions throughout their career. Richard has served as the Chief Technology Officer at Aware Super since 2017, the Division Director of Technology at Macquarie Group, and Head of Technology at E*TRADE within ANZ. Additionally, they have worked as a Chief Technology Officer at Bank of Hangzhou Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Technology in different Asia regions. Prior to that, they held positions at Colonial First State, Brokat Technologies AG, Colonial Group, and State Bank of NSW, gaining extensive experience in technology and leadership roles.
Richard Exton has pursued various educational opportunities throughout their career. Richard completed a Masters Degree of Financial Technology (MFinTech) at UNSW. Richard also participated in an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School in the USA. Additionally, they completed a Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Executive Education Program at Macquarie Business School, and a Graduate Certificate of Commercial Law at Deakin University. Richard also holds a Bachelor of Computing in Computer Science and Software Development from Deakin University. Furthermore, they obtained a Sydney Futures Exchange Certificate from FINSIA and specialized in Financial Markets through the Stockbrokers Association of Australia. Moreover, they completed a Chinese Language Course at the Mandarin Capital Language School in China.
