Dmitri Surkov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Dmitri began their career in 1994 as a Sales and Marketing Manager for Reuters in the CIS region. Subsequently, they worked for Reuters in Greece as a Managing Director and Senior Company Officer from 2001 to 2003. From 2004 to 2006, Surkov served as the Deputy General Director for RIA Novosti. Dmitri then joined Fitch Ratings in 2006, where they held various roles including Managing Director and Global Head of Revenue Management. Dmitri also served as the Regional Head of Russia, CIS, and Black Sea Region at Fitch Ratings from 2011 to 2020. Recently, Surkov has taken on the position of Global Head of Revenue Management at Fitch Ratings in 2020 and again in March 2022.
Dmitri Surkov completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Bauman Moscow State Technical University from 1987 to 1993. In 1999, they attended the University of Michigan, where they studied Organizational Leadership. From 2014 to 2015, Surkov pursued Management studies at the Hearst Management Institute. Later, from 2015 to 2018, they obtained a Master's degree in Economics from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. In 2018, they briefly attended the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, focusing on Project Management.
