Peter Archbold, CFA has extensive experience in the financial industry. Peter is currently working as the Senior Director of the Global Cross Sector Team for Structured Finance at Fitch Ratings since October 2023. Prior to this, Peter held various roles at Sustainable Fitch, where they served as the Managing Director and Global Head of ESG Ratings since September 2022. Peter also served as the Head of ESG Analytics from March 2020 to September 2022. Earlier in their career, Peter worked at Fitch Ratings as the Head of Natural Resources and Commodities from October 2016 to March 2020. Peter also held positions as the Head of Basic Materials for Europe Middle East & Africa from July 2010 to October 2016, Senior Director of Metals & Mining from January 2008 to July 2010, and Director of Metals & Mining from May 2006 to January 2008. Before joining Fitch Ratings, Peter worked at nab capital as the Credit Director of Corporate & Specialised Finance from January 2005 to May 2006. Prior to that, they held positions at NAB, serving as the Associate Credit Director of Corporate, Institutional & Specialised Finance from November 2002 to December 2004, and as the Manager/Associate Director of Corporate & Institutional Banking from January 2000 to November 2002.
Peter Archbold, CFA has a strong education background in finance and sustainability studies. Peter obtained their CFA Charterholder degree from the CFA Institute in 2010. In 2021, they completed the Principles of Sustainable Finance program at Erasmus University Rotterdam and also received a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. Additionally, they hold a Fellow degree in Finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, which they earned from 1999 to 2002. Peter completed their undergraduate studies in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Economics at La Trobe University from 1994 to 1997. Peter has also obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA UK and milestones in the CFA Institute CE Program.
