John Ashbourne

John Ashbourne is an experienced economist specializing in emerging markets, currently serving as the Director of Emerging Markets Economics at Fitch Solutions since April 2020. Prior to this role, John held positions at Capital Economics from January 2015 to March 2020, including Senior Emerging Markets Economist and Africa Economist. John's career began at Business Monitor International, where responsibilities included Senior Emerging Markets Analyst and Emerging Markets Analyst from February 2012 to January 2015. Additionally, John gained experience as a Media Relations Assistant at the Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade in 2010 and as an Editorial Intern at The Hindu in 2009.
