Before that, they worked as Public Safety- Parking and Patrol Officer at MSU Moorhead from 2011 to 2012, as a Receptionist at GMR Transportation from 2007 to 2011, and as Office Staff at MSU Mankato Security from 2004 to 2006. Caila started their career working as a Busser, Host, Server, and Cocktail Waitress at Speak Easy from 2000 to 2004.
Caila Strand-Cunha attended Minnesota State University Moorhead from 2011-2012 where they pursued a degree in Criminal Justice with an LE track minor in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/LE. From 2004-2007, they studied Criminal Justice at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In 2016-2017, Caila attended Rasmussen College where they obtained a Certification for Associates. Caila also has a certification in Medical Billing and Coding from Rasmussen College. In the future, they plan to pursue a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of North Dakota from 2023-2025.
