Flagship Pioneering
Phu Tri Tran is a Senior Scientist and Project Lead at Flagship Pioneering, specializing in the invention of novel technologies for sustainable agricultural development since October 2022. Previously, Tran served as a Postdoc Associate at Stony Brook University, where research focused on plant and viral protein interactions, as well as the roles of plant genes in virus dynamics. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellow position at Seoul National University, where Tran identified a resistance gene in soybean against potyvirus and developed infectious clones of several viruses. Tran's career began as an R&D Staff member at AB Mauri Vietnam, contributing to the development of new additives for the food industry. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology from Seoul National University, a Master's degree in Microbiology from the University of Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the same institution.
