Dennis Mwirigi has extensive work experience in various roles related to finance, compliance, and corporate relations. Dennis started their career in 2004 as the Group IA Manager at Coca-Cola Sabco, where they established the internal audit function in the Asia Division and managed the group internal audit function. In 2008, they joined Finlays as the Group Head of Internal Audit and Kenya Head of Tax Compliance, responsible for ensuring tax compliance and conducting internal audits across the organization. Dennis continued in this role until 2013, when they became the Finance Director at James Finlay Kenya Ltd and Finlays Horticulture Kenya Ltd, overseeing the financial operations of the tea and tea extracts business. In 2016, they joined Flamingo Horticulture as the Finance Director, leading the financial management of the company and its strategic partnerships with growers. Dennis later served as the Director of Compliance and Corporate Relations at Flamingo Horticulture Ltd in 2017, where they interacted with key stakeholders and had oversight over insurance and tax arrangements. Currently, Dennis holds the position of Managing Director, Central Services at Flamingo Horticulture, responsible for leading the central services department.

Dennis Mwirigi has a diverse education history spanning across various fields. In 1993, they enrolled at the University of Nairobi and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance. Dennis successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. Following this, from 1995 to 1998, Dennis attended Strathmore University, where they focused on Accounting and obtained a Certified Public Accountant qualification.

Building upon their earlier education, Dennis pursued higher education at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
