The company was formed in 1982 and grew through a series of organic and acquisitive developments until 2007, when it was itself acquired by James Finlay Limited (JFL). Following a successful period, which saw a significant period of capital investment, under the ownership of JFL the business was sold to Sun Capital in November 2015 and reverted to using the name Flamingo Horticulture in January 2016. The group has an annual turnover in excess of £300 million and employs more than 10,000 people across all of our locations.
