James Windon

James Windon is the managing director and co-founder of Flare HR. James has over fifteen years of experience in the technology and startup industries.

Windon started their career as a lawyer at Allens Arthur Robinson. James then spent two years at the World Trade Organization as an international trade lawyer. In 2010, they co-founded Causes.com, where they served as president for four years. In 2014, they co-founded Brigade Media, a social media platform for causes and non-profits. James served as president for three years before joining Startmate as an investment committee member in January 2019.

James Windon has a LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, a WTO Certificate, and a LLB from the University of Sydney Law School. James also has a BA in James'story from the University of Sydney.
