Ahmed El Alfi

Ahmed El Alfi is the founder of Sawari Ventures a Cairo-based VC firm established in 2010 with a goal to help transform Egyptian and MENA region economies through the creation of high-impact businesses. In 2006, he served as the CEO of EFG-Hermes Private Equity. He has extensive experience in creating and nurturing early-stage companies, as well as structuring international M&A transactions including several IPOs on the NASDAQ. He is or has been a member of the Board of Directors and Advisors of Waqf Endowment, Polytechnic School Pasadena, Claremont Graduate School of Religion, and several for-profit corporate boards.
