Cheryl O'Brien has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Cheryl started their career at Trade Indemnity (now Euler Hermes) in 1991 as a Senior Credit Controller. From there, they worked at Baker Tilly (now RSM) Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors as a Credit Control Supervisor. In 1998, they became the Group Credit Manager at Chiltern Group Services plc and Moores Rowland International. In 2006, they joined Tiscali UK as a Credit Manager, and in 2008, they became the Financial Services Manager - Steel Group Shared Services at Fletcher Building. Cheryl held various roles within Fletcher Building, including GSS Manager, Credit Management and Debt Recovery, before assuming their most recent position as the Head of NZ Payroll and Credit Management & Debt Recovery.
Cheryl O'Brien obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of West London, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including ICAgile Certified Professional from ICAgile in 2021, Implementing Winning Strategies from Columbia Business School Executive Education in 2021, and Accelerating Change Readiness & Agility from Berkeley University of California in 2019.
