Tom Donnelly has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tom began their career at Verizon as a Project Lead, where they worked from 1998 to 2000. Tom then moved on to roles as a Project Manager at Air New Zealand (2000-2001) and British Airways (2001-2002). In 2002, they served as a Finance Director at EGS Group Limited.

In 2003, Tom joined Intrahealth Systems Limited, where they held various positions including CFO (2003-2009), COO (2005-2008), and eventually became GM ANZ & CFO (2003-2011). Tom then transitioned to MZMEDIA as a Project Delivery Manager from 2012 to 2012.

From 2013, Tom worked at NZ Health Partnerships as a Programme Manager, before moving to ASB Bank Limited as a Programme Manager in the same year. At ASB Bank Limited, they focused on transformation, cultural change, and improving operational efficiency through Lean Six Sigma programs.

Between 2013 and 2016, Tom worked as a Freelance Programme/Project Manager at Health Benefits Limited, where they were involved in transformative projects centered around cultural, structural, and technological changes, with a particular focus on Oracle ERP technology.

Finally, they joined Fletcher Building in 2016, initially as a Programme delivery manager before being promoted to Portfolio Manager. In their current role as Head of IT, Portfolio Manager, they oversee the management and strategy of IT initiatives within the organization.

Tom Donnelly earned a BA and BCom in Economics and Accounting from The University of Auckland from 1986 to 1990. Tom then attended the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1996 to 2014 where they obtained a CA degree in Chartered Accountancy.
