Nikola Đorđević, PhD, is a Senior Optical Engineer at Flexcompute since March 2025, specializing in software development for advanced optical simulations technology and integrated photonic circuits design. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Embedded Software Engineer and Senior Silicon Photonics Design Engineer at Pointcloud Inc from August 2022 to March 2025, and Staff Engineer in Photonics at ams OSRAM from January 2021 to July 2022. Nikola completed a PhD at ETH Zürich between December 2014 and December 2020, focusing on the design and optimization of metasurface-enhanced photodetectors. Previous positions include a Master Thesis Project at IBM and various roles at Petnica Science Center, ETF Belgrade, and Tyndall National Institute. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Photonics, a Master's in Micro and Nanosystems, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade.
