Emily Skanron

Emily Skanron has eight years of work experience. Emily began their career in 2012 as a Participant in the Phage Hunters Summer Program. In 2013, they were a Computational Analysis Intern at Cofactor Genomics and an Independent Study Student at Dr. Elliot Elson's Biomechanics Lab at Washington University School of Medicine. In 2014, they were a Development Engineering Intern at Covidien and a Quantitative Physiology Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Systems Engineer and R&D Co-op Student at Siemens Healthineers and a Quality & Regulatory Manager and Design Assurance Engineer at FlexDex Surgical.

Emily Skanron has a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Emily also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, which they obtained from 2011 to 2015. In 2016 and 2017, Emily obtained Professional Education Certificates in Systems Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, Emily has obtained certifications from Axeon Corporation, including EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745 Training in July 2022 and ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor with 21 CFR 820 in July 2019.
