Yinai Fan has had a diverse work experience in the field of robotics engineering. In 2012, they began as a Student Researcher at New York University. In 2014, they took on the role of Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2017, they were hired as a Control System Engineer at DEKA Research & Development. In 2020, they became a Robotics Engineer at Flexiv Ltd., and in 2021, they were promoted to Senior Robotics Controls Engineer at the same company.
Yinai Fan completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from South China University of Technology in 2013. From 2009 to 2013, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and received a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering. Yinai then continued their studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. In 2010 and 2012, Yinai Fan also attended New York University and received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering.
