Mark Taylor

Mark Taylor currently serves as the Dean of Research and Professor at the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University, having held the position since March 2012. With extensive experience in the field of orthopaedic biomechanics, Mark previously worked as a Professor of Bioengineering Sciences at the University of Southampton from August 1998 to March 2012, where Mark led the Bioengineering Sciences Research Group. Prior to that, Mark was a Research Engineer at Finsbury Orthopaedics from August 1997 to August 2000, focusing on finite element analysis and experimental testing of implant designs. Mark holds a PhD in Orthopaedic Biomechanics from Queen Mary University of London, an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Dundee, and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University.
