Mat MacQuarrie

Mat MacQuarrie has a diverse work experience in the field of product and UX design. Mat has worked as a Senior Product Designer at Float since 2022. Prior to that, Mat worked as a Freelance Product Designer at Toptal from 2018 onwards. In this role, they led UX design, brand design, and visual design for Toptal Projects. Mat also worked at PartnerStack as a Senior Product Designer from 2020 to 2022. Here, they primarily focused on the UX of the vendor desktop app and contributed to the design system. From 2019 to 2020, Mat worked as a Product Designer at Versett, where they were responsible for digital projects for AMEX Global Business Traveler and also worked on evolving the visual elements of the Versett brand. Before that, Mat was a Co-founder and Designer at Deskfire from 2017 to 2019. Mat also served as the Lead Product Designer at Bus.com from 2016 to 2017, where they led the design efforts for their product, branding, and marketing needs, including participation in Y-Combinator. Additionally, Mat worked as a Design Consultant at Smooch.io in 2015. Lastly, they worked as a Senior Designer at LightSpeed Retail from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on branding the LightSpeed retail point of sale software and managed photo and video campaigns.

Mat MacQuarrie attended Georgian College from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. In 2012, they also received training at La Bourgeoise Sérigraphestudio, although it is unclear if they obtained a degree or studied a specific field of study during this time.
