Sarah Marion

Sarah Marion has over 10 years of experience in the tech industry. In 2014, they began their career as a Graduate Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), where they researched Brazil's capacity to produce essential health technologies and wrote a policy brief. Sarah then moved on to a Senior Researcher role at the Lazaridis Institute in 2015, where they interviewed 150+ Canadian technology thought leaders and researched key barriers to growth. In 2017, Sarah became a Board Observer for SnapTravel, BetaKit, and Fellow.app. Sarah also became a Guest Contributor for BetaKit, writing a bi-weekly series about VC for startup founders. In 2018, Sarah took on Board Observer roles at CareGuide and DarwinAI. Sarah also began working at Inovia Capital as an Associate, Senior Analyst, and Analyst. Finally, in 2020, Sarah joined Commit as a Startup Partnerships and Growth and Startup Partnerships employee. In 2022, they began working at Float as a Product Manager and Special Projects employee.

Sarah Marion graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm). Sarah then went on to obtain a Master of International Public Policy from the Balsillie School of International Affairs, with a field of study in Human Security and International Economic Relations. Finally, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Chulalongkorn University. In 2007, Sarah Marion obtained a certification from the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation.
