Simon Middendorp has extensive work experience in the supply chain and innovation fields. Simon began their career in 1992 as an Application Technologist at Unilever and held various roles within the company, including Research and Development Technologist and Assistant Manager in the structured emulsions department. From 2010 to 2018, they worked as a Technical Contact officer and Quality Assurance Officer. In 2013, Simon became the European QA Dairy and Portfolio & Innovation BCS baking cooking spreading at Unilever. Simon joined Upfield in 2018 and has since held positions such as European Quality Creams & Supply Chain officer and Supply Chain Officer. Currently, they are serving as the Portfolio & Innovation Lead for supply chain in Europe.
Simon Middendorp completed their secondary education in Hotel- en hospitality management at the bakkerij-en horecavakschool Leeuwarden from 1980 to 1984. Subsequently, they pursued Voedingsmiddelen technology specializing in dairy at a foodtechnology school from 1984 to 1987. Simon furthered their education in Foodtechnology at Het Van Hall Instituut from 1988 to 1991.
