Rene Louapre

Rene Louapre serves as the Deputy General Counsel and previously as Associate General Counsel at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute since October 2020. As the Founder and Director of Hogs for the Cause, Inc., a non-profit organization established in January 2009, Rene has overseen significant growth, increasing event participation from 250 to 5,000 attendees and raising $100,000 for families affected by pediatric brain cancer. Prior experience includes positions as Special Counsel at Bradley Murchison, Chief Compliance Officer at University Health, and Assistant General Counsel at Ochsner Health System, with a legal practice focused on healthcare regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters. Rene holds an LL.M. in Health Law from Saint Louis University School of Law, a JD/BCL from Louisiana State University, and a BA in European History from Washington and Lee University.
