Emmeth Duran

Emmeth Duran, P.E., RSP2I is a professional engineer currently serving as the District Traffic Safety Program Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation, focusing on the advancement of the Florida Strategic Highway Safety Plan in the Tampa Bay Area. Previous experience includes a role as a Design Engineer at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson and a Student Assistant at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida, where responsibilities encompassed traffic safety research and statewide outreach initiatives. Early career experience includes internships with the Florida Department of Transportation and Pinellas County Department of Environment and Infrastructure, where tasks included traffic data management, crash analysis, and road safety inspections. Emmeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from St. Petersburg College.
