Jason Pitts

Jason Pitts is an experienced engineering professional with a specialized background in mechanical and nuclear engineering. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager at Florida Power & Light Company since January 2016, Jason Pitts oversees program engineering at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, having progressed through roles as Engineering Supervisor, Principal Mechanical Engineer, and Senior Mechanical Engineer. Prior to this position, Jason Pitts worked at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation, where roles included Principal Mechanical Engineer and Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on fleet support at Knolls Laboratory. Earlier experience includes contract operations for General Electric and a significant tenure in the US Navy, where Jason Pitts held various mechanical and instructional roles. Jason Pitts holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union Graduate College and a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
