Gurpiar Uppal

Gurpiar Uppal currently serves as the Group Head of Cyber Governance Risk & Compliance and Group Head of Cyber Security Risk Management at Flutter Entertainment Plc, a position held since February 2022. Prior to this, Gurpiar was the Global Head of IT Risk & Compliance at GroupM from February 2018 to January 2022 and held various significant roles at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, including Director of Business Continuity, International Security and Crisis Management from December 2015 to February 2018. At Direct Line Group, Gurpiar served as the Group Technology Resilience Manager overseeing critical business continuity programs from December 2013 to December 2015. Previous experience includes roles as Managing Consultant at Deloitte focusing on Enterprise Risk Services, and consultant for UBS in Operational Risk Transformation. Gurpiar's career began at Barclays Bank as IT Service Continuity Manager for Emerging Markets and started with a comprehensive training program at Atos Origin. Gurpiar holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from Brunel University of London.
