Sebastiaan Buijs is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in stakeholder management and communications, currently serving as Manager in the Special Operations Department at FMO – Dutch entrepreneurial development bank since October 2018, having previously held multiple managerial and officer roles within the Strategy Department at the same organization. In addition to this, Sebastiaan is a member of the Supervisory Board at 1646 Experimental Art Space since February 2018, contributing to the promotion of contemporary and experimental art. Sebastiaan's volunteer efforts with the Dutch Red Cross since 2008 include facilitating the dissemination of International Humanitarian Law. Previously, positions included roles at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports as a Senior Communications Officer, and at Edelman as a Senior Account Manager, where international corporate communications were developed for major clients. Educationally, Sebastiaan holds multiple degrees in Law from Leiden University, including a Master of Laws in International Law and Legal Studies.
