Michael Friess is an experienced professional in global procurement and project management, currently serving as Director of Global Procurement at Christof Industries since January 2022. Previously, Michael held the position of Managing Director at Rohrer Finland OY from May 2018 to August 2021, where additional responsibilities included business development and project management for SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Migration. At OMV, Michael worked from June 2007 to March 2018, advancing from Head of Project Procurement to Project Procurement Senior Expert. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Siemens from May 1991 to May 2007 as Project Procurement Manager, focusing on energy and industrial solutions, as well as serving as Sales & Project Manager for hydro power plants, photovoltaics, and fuel cells. Michael holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Energy Technologies from Technische Universität Wien, earned between 1983 and 1991.
