Beth E. Mooney was elected to the Ford Motor Company board of directors in 2019. She serves on the Audit and Nominating & Governance committees.

Mooney has more than 35 years of experience in retail banking, commercial lending and real estate financing.

She has served as chairman and chief executive officer of KeyCorp since May 2011. Mooney joined the company in April 2006 as vice chair of Key Community Bank, and in 2010 was elected to KeyCorp board of directors.

Previously, Mooney was senior executive vice president and chief financial officer at Alabama-based AmSouth Bancorporation (now Regions Financial Corp.) and held senior positions at Bank One Corp., Citicorp Real Estate, Inc., Hall Financial Group, and Republic Bank of Texas/First Republic.

Mooney is the board chair of Cleveland Clinic, and serves on the boards of Catalyst, a global nonprofit organization that helps accelerate workplace progress for women, and The Conference Board, a global, independent business membership and research association working in the public interest. She is also a director of AT&T Inc.

Additionally, Mooney is president of the Federal Advisory Council and a director of The Bank Policy Institute, serving as chair of its BITS technology-policy division. She is a member of The Clearing House Supervisor Board, the Business Roundtable and the Committee of 200.

Mooney holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
