Karen Siegel has over a decade of experience in donor relations and data management within nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as a Donor Relations Associate at Forgotten Harvest since September 2018, Karen previously held various roles at the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit from August 2008 to August 2018, including Data Management Assistant, Camp Registrar, and Administrative Assistant for the Arts, Culture, and Education department. Karen's educational background includes attendance at Delta College from 1980 to 1983, along with a diploma from Carrollton High School.

Forgotten Harvest
Forgotten Harvest was formed in 1990 to fight two problems: hunger and waste. Forgotten Harvest “rescued” and distributed 40 million pounds of food last year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from 800 sources, including grocery stores, fruit and vegetable markets, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors and other Health Department-approved sources. This donated food, which would otherwise go to waste, is delivered free-of-charge to more than 200 emergency food providers in the Metro Detroit area.
