Michael Plews

Michael Plews is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and engineering, currently serving as the Manager of CA Test Operations at Form Energy since April 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held multiple positions at QuantumScape from May 2019 to March 2024, including Director of New Product Introduction, where leadership of a 20-member team was key. Additionally, significant contributions as a Principal Member of the Technical Staff involved establishing a Data and Test Analytics group, and managing failure analysis operations. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral role at Berkeley Lab focusing on perovskite semiconductors, along with graduate and undergraduate research positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Manchester, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Michael holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Master in Chemistry from The University of Manchester.
