Zach Konz is a Senior Battery Engineer at Form Energy since October 2023, with extensive experience in battery research and engineering. Previously, as a Graduate Student Researcher at Berkeley Lab from January 2019 to August 2023, Zach worked on projects involving data-driven modeling to predict lithium plating and electrolyte development for fast charging. Zach has also held positions as a Graduate Student Research Fellow at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where modeling for a PhD project was developed, and served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, teaching Chemical Kinetics and Chemical Engineering courses. Zach's research experience includes undergraduate research roles at UW-Madison in chemical engineering and chemistry, completed a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UW-Madison, and earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
