Raquel Parker is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in industrial design and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Industrial Design Engineer at FORMASPACE since May 2022, Raquel previously held positions as a Mechanical Engineer at TMGcore, where responsibilities included leading the design and prototyping of liquid immersion cooling products. As an Engineering Consultant Manager at Novaria Group, Raquel successfully managed engineering projects and collaborated with manufacturing teams. Raquel's earlier experience at Weatherford Aerospace encompassed roles as a Process Engineer and Quality Assurance Engineer, contributing to the development of chemical manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Raquel began the career journey with internships at Dr. Jeffery S. Wallace Sports Medicine Orthopedics and the Texas Department of Insurance. Raquel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Since our formation in 1981, Formaspace has been handcrafting furniture for spaces that required a unique solution. We saw a need for spaces to have furniture that was as dynamic and flexible as the people in and around them and our team fulfilled it. Our practice is rooted in the traditions of industrial design that you might find in the Austin Power Plant, blended with the eclectic and rule defying art that fills late night dive bars in East Austin.
