Ian Drew has extensive experience in engineering and production systems within the broadcasting and motorsport industries. Currently serving as Engineering Manager for Production Systems at Formula 1 since January 2013, Ian has held various key positions including Team Manager for TV Acquisition Systems and Principal Engineer. Prior to joining Formula 1, Ian worked at Genesis Worldwide Limited for over 15 years as a Broadcast Engineer, specializing in vision mixing and EVS operations. Ian's career began at Channel 4, where responsibilities included Telecine transfers and maintenance as a Senior Engineer from June 1984 to February 1997. Ian's formal education includes training at BBC Wood Norton.
