Dr. Jan Willem Coenen

Dr. Jan Willem Coenen is a prominent expert in materials science with a focus on fusion and plasma wall interactions. Currently a Team Leader at Forschungszentrum Jülich since March 2006, Dr. Coenen has held various roles including Project Leader and Research Scientist, contributing significantly to the advancement of materials for extreme conditions in nuclear fusion. An accomplished academic, Dr. Coenen also serves as an Adjunct Professor at UW-Madison and is involved in various international committees related to fusion research, such as EUROfusion and ICFRM-21.
