Sander Huisman is a Senior Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich since May 2005, with expertise in geophysical data applications for hydrological models, spectral induced polarization, and soil moisture sensors. Additionally, Sander serves as a Professor for Vadose Zone Hydrogeophysics at the University of Stuttgart since September 2012. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Giessen, focusing on catchment hydrology and biogeochemistry, and a PhD Researcher role at Universiteit van Amsterdam, where Sander's doctoral thesis examined soil water content measurement accuracy. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Physical Geography and Soil Science from the University of Amsterdam.
