Meghan Bernath, AAP, CCUE, BSACS, currently serves as Chief Operations Officer at Fort Community Credit Union, a role held since February 2013, where responsibilities include ACH management, employee training, procedure documentation, and technology implementation. Bernath's extensive experience within the credit union encompasses roles such as Director of Operations, Operations Assistant, Member Service Representative, and Teller, providing a comprehensive understanding of operational functions. Prior to serving in the credit union industry, Bernath worked as Assistant Manager at World Acceptance Corporation, Head Cashier at The Home Depot, and held various roles in customer service and archival research. Bernath earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

FCCU has been growing roots in Southeast Wisconsin since 1940 when employees of Moe Light, in Fort Atkinson, pooled their paychecks together to begin the credit union. Since then the credit union has expanded with branches located in Jefferson, Whitewater and Watertown. Although our name has changed a few times since 1940, our commitment to our members has not. We are at all times invested in you, with you, for you. That commitment we have made to our membership has shown in our growth. Today, we have over 22,000 members and five branches at your service. We credit our growth not only to our commitment to our members, but to our cooperative roots of neighbors helping neighbors. As a credit union, we are a cooperative financial institution and we base our decisions on our owners. Who owns the credit union? Our members do. Every member has the same share, the same say, no matter how much money is in their account. If you're a member, you're an owner- it's as simple as that.
