Mike Spencer

Mike Spencer is a seasoned professional in the life sciences field with extensive experience in antibody production, validation, and immunohistochemistry. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Antibody Production and Services and Sr. Director of Antibody Validation and IHC at Fortis Life Sciences since March 2021, Mike previously held leadership roles at Bethyl Laboratories, Inc., focusing on multiplex antibody staining for digital pathology platforms. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky, Mike has worked in various capacities, including research associate roles in cancer diagnostics, laboratory management, and post-doctorate positions at prestigious institutions such as Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health.
