Tianming Qiu

Researcher at fortiss

Tianming Qiu is a researcher at fortiss since November 2019, specializing in areas related to automation and robotics. Previously, Tianming completed a master's thesis focused on bound-based value function methods in model-free reinforcement learning for Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes at Technische Universität Darmstadt. Prior experiences include a research internship at Technical University Munich, where implementation on a NAO Robot was carried out using artificial skin and reinforcement learning, as well as an internship at Siemens, involving research and development for digitalization and automation. Tianming also served as a teaching assistant for the Introduction Lab for Humanoid RoboCup at Technical University Munich. Tianming holds a Master of Science in Automation and Robotics from Technical University of Munich, completed in 2019.
