Gautam Nain

Gautam Nain is an experienced engineering professional specializing in computer vision and robotics. Currently serving as Engineering Director and R&D Engineering Manager at FORTNA since November 2022, Gautam has led the development of advanced software solutions for warehouse robots, focusing on scalability and reliability in pick-and-place systems. Prior to FORTNA, Gautam was a Computer Vision Engineer at Material Handling Systems, Inc., where contributions included the development of a vision system that earned Product of the Year 2020. Gautam's academic background includes a Master's degree in Machine Learning and Data Science from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manipal University. Additionally, experience as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at UCSD, along with roles at NXP Semiconductors and Freescale Semiconductor, demonstrate a robust foundation in both theoretical and practical applications within the field.
