James Baird is a seasoned mechanical designer with extensive experience in piping design and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Fortress Engineering Ltd. since April 2014, James is responsible for creating and reviewing P&IDs, 3D models, and plant layouts, as well as coordinating internal and client reviews, and providing construction support. Prior roles include Piping Designer at Equinox Engineering Ltd. where James led design efforts and coordinated site visits for AS-BUILT projects, and earlier positions at Aurora Engineering Ltd., IMV Projects, and as a Journeyman Fitter/Plumber in industrial and commercial settings. James holds a Process Piping Drafting/Design diploma and a Journeyman Red Seal Plumber/Gas Fitter degree from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
