REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF IN-HOME BEHAVIORAL PROGRAM

Job Summary**:** The Regional Director of In-Home Behavioral Programs will oversee FosterAdopt Connect’s Behavioral Interventionist (BI) programs across multiple sites, and any future FAC or program replication sites. This program is designed to keep children who have behavioral or mental health challenges stable in their current home.
The Regional Director provides leadership of In-Home Behavioral Program Managers, focusing on program planning and implementation, quality assurance oversight, data collection/analysis, budget performance, achievement of desired client outcomes, and provide case consultation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the child welfare system, experience providing senior leadership to staff, experience implementing and evaluating programs, and the ability to operate programs across a broad geography.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to
Leadership and Management
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership of In-Home Behavioral Program Leadership staff operating in each site, and strive to enhance the emotional intelligence of all direct reports to increase performance and leadership skills.
- Promote regular and clear communication between colleagues and branch offices to ensure program fidelity and clear, effective messaging to proactively address concerns presented.
- Responsible for employee and team satisfaction of staff.
- Conduct meetings with staff monthly with the goal of providing continual support, guidance, and work product evaluation/feedback.
- Ensure all initial and annual training requirements are met for staff and identify training/professional development opportunities accordingly.
- Assess and administer 90-day and annual employee performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Ensure the specific reporting and procedural requirements of the programs are used consistently and accurately.
- Maintain strong, open communication with direct supervisor regarding services delivered, concerns or questions.
- Create new relationships and network other partner agencies and community stakeholders to promote the BI program; deliver program presentations as needed or required.
- Contribute on an organizational level with a focus on agency culture, cultural competency, and performance improvement outcomes.
- Frequent travel to branch offices, with or without accommodation.
- Understand and ensure all procedures are followed for program operations from initial referral to service delivery, including billing requirements for multiple funding resources.
- Frequently review QA results and procedures with Program Managers and discuss barriers and modifications to ensure quality of services and delivery. Focus on systems/process improvement.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and year-end agency reports and statistics as required.
- Track Behavioral Programs hours and ensure adherence to funding/contract parameters provided.
- Manage effectively within approved budget.
- Assist in grant planning, writing, development, and execution to allow the program models to be regionally and nationally replicated.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, plus three [3] years of leadership experience in non-profit social service agencies) in social work, psychology, public administration, or related human services field.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems. Solid understanding of how to implement new efficiencies while predicting and navigating change impact on individual team members.
- Flexible and a self-starter; multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented while meeting all deadlines. Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
- Strategic problem-solver and decision-maker; breaks down problems into components and recognizes interrelationships; makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions.
- Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated capability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Experience working with marginalized communities and at-risk populations with a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions.
- Solid commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families.
- Collaborate and advocate for positive outcomes, using excellent interpersonal skills in multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic professional teams.
