Thisara Alawala is an accomplished technical architect with extensive experience in software and system architecture across various companies. Currently serving as a Technical Architect at Foxtel Group since April 2022, Thisara is responsible for the technical architecture of the metadata domain and has successfully migrated legacy workflows into an aggregated metadata platform. Previous roles include Software Architect at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka, where Thisara led the architecture of an eCommerce platform, and at Pearson, focusing on solutions for eLearning needs. Additional experience spans multiple positions at Aitken Spence Technologies and other organizations, with a solid foundation in Java, microservices, NoSQL and relational databases, and various frameworks. Thisara holds a PhD in Vision Systems and Machine Learning and multiple degrees in information technology and enterprise applications development.
