Brad Simon has an extensive and varied work experience in the field of safety. Brad is currently serving as the Corporate Safety Director at FPI Mechanical, Inc. since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at D.A. Collins Family of Companies as a Safety Director from January 2019 until February 2023 and as a Safety Specialist from April 2016 to January 2019. Before that, they worked as a Safety Coordinator at Harrison & Burrowes Bridge Constructors, Inc. from September 2014 to April 2016. Brad also served as a Safety Director at Tetra Tech Construction from November 2008 to September 2014 and as a Site Safety Coordinator from October 2007 to November 2008. Additionally, they worked as a Safety Manager at U.W. Marx Construction from April 2004 to September 2007 and as a Safety and Facilities Manager at All-Lifts Inc. from May 2002 to April 2004. Brad also gained experience in the safety field at GE Automation in 2003.

Brad Simon SMS, CHST obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Western New England University in the years 1998 to 2002. Brad has also received several certifications, including Safety Management Specialist (SMS) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2017, Construction Safety and Health Technician (CHST) from the same institution in 2011, and OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction from OSHA in 2008. Additionally, they are a Special Government Employee (SGE) for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) VPP, obtained in February 2018. Brad also holds a certification as a 1st Aid CPR AED Instructor from the American Red Cross NENY, obtained in 2014.

FPI Mechanical began in 1985 in Selkirk, NY as a small full service mechanical piping contractor serving the petrochemical industry in the Capital District Region of New York State. Since our beginnings, we have sought out the most technically demanding and schedule challenged projects to be a part of. Our capabilities expanded to meet project demands into engineering, fabrication, and project management. All in an effort to provide solutions to our customers problems. Over the years, we developed expertise in not only process mechanical systems, but also HVAC systems, plumbing systems and more. Through our partnership with the Local 7 Plumbers and Steamfitters, FPI Mechanical is able to offer design, fabrication and installation services to clients. Making us one of a few mechanical construction companies able to offer a combination of these services. Safety is of the highest priority within FPI Mechanical. We strictly follow the safety requirements of OSHA, as well as MSHA and DOT as applicable to our projects. Our safety program is based on the tenets of prevention, training, and hazard management. All high risk work is approached with caution. New employees are required to receive 16 hours of comprehensive training in OSHA standards and company policies. All employees are required to receive 8 hours of refresher training every two years Whatever your mechanical project needs may be, the chances are good that FPI has the capability to complete your project.
