Janaki Akella

Janaki Akella is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in technology, digital transformation, and operations. Currently serving as an Independent Director on the boards of Fractal, Sallie Mae, averQ, Inc., and Southern Company, Janaki oversees critical infrastructure security and emerging technologies while actively engaging in operations risk compliance and audit committees. Previously, Janaki held the position of Chief of Business Operations at Google, where responsibilities included leading transformative initiatives within the Ads Privacy & Safety domain. A former Partner at McKinsey & Company, Janaki managed over 100 consulting engagements focused on high-tech growth strategies and digital transformation across diverse industries. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master's degree from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Guindy College of Engineering.
