Douglas Beckner is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the nuclear power industry, spanning over four decades. Currently serving as a Principal Tech Specialist II at AREVA NP since July 1989, Douglas has been integral to the US EPR Engineering Integration Group, focusing on design reviews and the preparation of design change packages. Prior roles include Senior Service Engineer at both Babcock & Wilcox and Baltimore Gas & Electric, where Douglas contributed to startup procedures for the Bellefonte Nuclear Plant and participated in the construction and operation of commercial nuclear plants. Early in the career, Douglas obtained an AEC Operator's License while working as an AEC Licensed Operator and developed training programs for nuclear plant personnel. Educational achievements include an Associate of Science degree from Central Virginia Community College.
