Christine Liu

Christine Liu is a seasoned professional in the visual effects industry, currently serving as the Lead FX Technical Director at Framestore since May 2022, with notable projects including "How to Train Your Dragon" (2025) and "Wonka" (2023). Previously, Christine held the position of FX Supervisor at DNEG, overseeing projects like "Moonfall" (2022). Experience also includes roles as Lead FX Technical Director and FX Lead at DNEG and Atomic Fiction, contributing to major films such as "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" (2021) and "Blade Runner 2049" (2017). Additional experience spans effects artistry at Rising Sun Pictures and DreamWorks Animation, along with academic roles at Texas A&M University and Blinn College. Christine Liu holds a PhD in Architecture/Visualization Sciences and an MArch in Architecture from Texas A&M University, along with a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
