Fred Hutch
Catherine Duggan is a highly experienced professional in cancer research and health system strengthening, currently serving as a Principal Staff Scientist and Scientific Director for the Breast Health Global Initiative at Fred Hutch since 2007. Catherine leads efforts to enhance breast cancer healthcare delivery and address care disparities through implementation science and collaborative approaches. Previously, Catherine directed a Shared Resource supporting programming and management across the Fred Hutch/UW/SCCA consortium. Earlier roles include serving as a Research Analyst at the World Health Organization, an Independent Consultant specializing in statistical support and project management, and postdoctoral researcher positions at Cancer Research UK and Institut Pasteur de Lille. Catherine holds a PhD in Biochemistry from University College Dublin, in addition to further training in dissemination and implementation research.
