Sung Yeon is currently an Adjunct Graduate Researcher at Fred Hutch since August 2023 and a PhD Candidate at Yale University School of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Ring. Sung has held various roles, including Teaching Fellow and Consultant at Canaan, Co-Founder and President of the Yale Biotech Club, and Ambassador at Yale Ventures. Prior research experience includes a Research Associate Intern role at Illumina and a Research Assistant position at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies under Dr. Joseph Ecker. Sung holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunobiology from Yale University, a Master of Science in Biology with a focus on Genetics from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the same institution.
