Doug Hadden is the EVP, Strategy & Innovation at FreeBalance Inc. Doug has over 20 years of experience in the software industry, holding various positions in product management, product development, and software engineering.
Doug started their career in software engineering, but soon transitioned into product management. Doug held senior positions at Delano Technologies and Platform Computing before joining InSystems in 2001.
At InSystems, Doug was responsible for refocusing the company's cooperative development customer project into a financial services 'extended relationship management' portal platform called eXterity. Doug also created the eXterity brand name, concept, and marketing approach. Under Doug's leadership, the platform was recognized by Gartner as a first mover in the extended relationship management space.
In addition to their work at InSystems, Doug has also led improvement in product scalability and reliability at previous companies. Doug has a proven track record of successfully taking products from conception to market launch.
Doug Hadden attended Harvard Kennedy School, where they earned an Executive Education Certificate. Doug also attended Carleton University, where they earned a B.A. Honours in Political Science. In addition, Doug holds certifications from Pragmatic Marketing in Product Management and from Microsoft in MCP Windows Architecture.
