Justin Gibbs has a diverse and extensive work experience. Justin began their career as a Developer for The FreeBSD Project in 1993 and was a member of the FreeBSD Core Team until 2000. In 1997, Justin became a Software Architect for Pluto Technologies International Inc. and later moved on to work as a Software Architect for Adaptec, Inc. in 2000. From 2004 to 2009, they worked as a Software Architect for Avidyne Corporation. In 2009, Justin joined Spectra Logic as a Senior Software Architect until 2015, when they transitioned to become a Software Engineer at Facebook. Additionally, in 2000, Justin founded The FreeBSD Foundation and currently serves as its President.
Justin Gibbs attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).
