Martin Lynch

As Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors, Martin leads engineering, operations, sales, and marketing functions, as well as executing the company’s financial plan. He brings a wealth of technical and operational leadership to FreeWire, which he developed across high-and-low volume product lines that encompass complex electro-mechanical devices, embedded control systems and SaaS offerings. Prior to joining FreeWire, Martin was Chief Operating Officer at SunLink, a utility-scale solar tracking supplier. He previously directed engineering and operations as an Executive VP at Xicato, a high-end commercial intelligent LED supplier, and was Chief Operating Officer at Cornice, an early-stage micro-HDD start up. Martin is a 25-year veteran of the disk drive industry, including serving as VP of Engineering for Maxtor’s server product group. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, as well as several patents in genetic algorithm-based HDD test process systems.
