James Chapman

James Chapman is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in energy, transport, and infrastructure. Currently, James serves as a Partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where a global practice focuses on significant deals in the energy sector, including advising major clients on hydrogen sales frameworks and renewable energy investments. Additionally, James is a member of the Energy Security Advisory Group at the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange. Past roles include coordinating hydrogen agreements for the Association of International Energy Negotiators and serving as a secondee at ADNOC Group. James holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law and has completed the LPC at BPP Law School, following an MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford.
